Company Portfolio - Landlords / Property Ownership

Dear Support,

When creating a Company Portfolio - Should I enter the landlords as the company directors, or the name of the registered company?
Also we have a split ownership of a property, 50% owned by the company and 50% owned by other private investors, with 50% of rent being distrubted to them. Is there a best way to structure this?

Thank you for your post

The Ownership Percentages only pertain to the Income Tax Report (SA105). None of the other reports are affected by the ownership levels.

When setting up a company portfolio, you should enter the company name as the landlord

For the money being distributed to the other landlord, set them up as a liability account in Settings > Chart of Accounts and record a journal in Account Manager > Journals showing the money leaving the bank account and going to the liability account
