Viewing Rents Outstanding on a certain date

Postby landlordvision » Fri May 13, 2016 3:45 pm

Is there any way of checking to see what rents we had overdue on the 31st October 2015 please?

We do not have a de facto snapshot report as described but you can get this information.

If you run a tenant payment history report (Reports->All Reports-> Payment history)

In the selection boxes select All tenants, and Rent only for payment type.

From/To dates would be 01/10 to 31/10

the produced report will show a list of payments due up to Dec 31st any with a date paid after this will show a payment in arrears.

The Summary of payments section underneath will also show a list of tenants still in arrears.

Further to David's message, there's even a better method to extract the overdue rents as of 31st October 2015 - please go to Reports/All Reports/Cash Flow and click on the Rental Income amount for November 2015. Please note the following:

1. Any rent with a due date before 01/11/2015 that appears in the list of rental payments for November 2015 was certainly outstanding as of 31st October regardless of whether it is already paid or not. The rental payments are ordered by due date so it will be easy for you to get the list of outstanding rents with a due date before 01/11/2015.
2. Any outstanding rent as of today will appear in red.
